Where are PIV-I cards used?
U.S. federal government policies will require all Government agencies to begin upgrading their security systems in the next few months. If you are a contractor who is currently doing business with or planning to do business with any Government agency in the future, you will be required to have a PIV-I card to access their facility and/or information systems. Compliance requires Government agencies to accept only secure, fraud-resistant, federally approved PIV and PIV-I cards for access to physical and logical resources. This includes any government buildings, military bases and government information networks and systems.
HID PIV-I Service makes it easy for government contractors to get their PIV-I cards. HID is one of a select few vendors certified to issue PIV-I cards that meet the stringent standards mandated by the United States government, including the U.S. Department of Defense.
